2 Nabbed For Cocaine Possession In Hudson Valley During Traffic Stop: Police

The incident occurred in Dutchess County at 9:20 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 30, in East Fishkill.

According to Trooper AJ Hicks, members of the department's Community Stabilization Unit conducted a traffic stop of a 2020 BMW 530 Series on the Taconic State Parkway for violations of the vehicle and traffic laws.

An investigation determined the driver, Westchester County resident Steven A. Emery, age 44, of Yonkers, and the passenger Shelby Rose Rowe, age 30, of Bennington, Vermont, had more than 110 grams of cocaine, Hicks said. 

Rowe was found to have an additional amount of cocaine, weighing approximately 3.7 grams, he added.

Both were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. 

Rowe was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth and seventh degrees.

Emery and Rowe were arraigned in the town of East Fishkill Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
